Adam Continuity people shine at Buncefield

Adam Continuity was quick to respond on Sunday 11th December 2005 when one of their clients invoked them at 10.10am after surveying the effects of the oil depot fire. Adam were contracted to arrive at their client’s Recovery Site in Buckinghamshire within 4 hours with replacement equipment and Recovery Specialist resource but were on site within 3 and a half hours. Having unloaded the equipment the Adam Recovery Specialists met the client’s IT team which consisted of 3 technicians, the other member of their team being on holiday in the West Indies.

The back up tapes duly arrived and the restore began using the Client’s Recovery documentation and the recent Rehearsal Reports from Adam. The restore ran for an hour or so before the Client’s team left the building to go to lunch. The Adam Recovery Specialists continued to manage the restore unassisted using the documentation and the experiences gained from the rehearsals but were concerned about the missing technicians. It wasn’t until the next day that they found out that the Client’s IT team had been discussing the explosion and the effect on their building and had suffered trauma and delayed shock meaning they were unable to return to the Recovery.

The restore was completed around 11pm and the Adam team left the building to the Security Guards. The client was really grateful that Adam provided ‘at elbow’ support when they realised that their Recovery would have been delayed by days if they had not contracted to alternative resource.
