18/08/2009
Adam Continuity, the UK’s leading independentbusiness and data continuity and disaster recovery specialist, has been awarded a new five-year contract by the housing association Acis Group. Adam won the tender process to provide a full disaster recovery service for Acis Group. John Beevers, information and systems manager for the group, said that Adam undoubtedly came up with the best overall offer.
“Whilst we do not have a complicated business, we do need to have absolute confidence that we have robust back-up in place and that everything can be restored again quickly and ready for use if a disaster happens,” says John Beevers.
“As with most organisations, our policy states that we must have a professional disaster recovery process in place and I am absolutely confident that Adam will meet our needs fully.”
News of the Acis Group contract comes as Adam Continuity confirmed a 32 per cent growth in public sector and not-for-profit clients over past year. Commenting on the Acis Group contract, Philip Caulfield, managing director of Adam Continuity, said he was proud to have Acis Group on board as a new client.
“Our knowledge of the needs and understanding of the culture of housing associations and public sector organisations in terms of data continuity and disaster recovery is second to none. We aim to grow further in these sectors where we are known for our flexibility and commitment to long-term, high-level service. Acis’s decision to appoint Adam is part of a growing trend in this sector away from large global suppliers to the bespoke and hands-on services offered by mid-sized, more local organisations. These, like Adam, are more flexible in what they offer and quick to react to client needs and changing circumstances,” says Caulfield
Acis Group was established in 1999 to provide high-quality homes for affordable rent, as well as homes to buy on a shared ownership basis, across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. The association now provides over 5,000 properties from one-bedroom flats to large family homes.
