Ship to Site
Mobile Ship to Site
At Adam, our mobile ship to site service has been the core of our business for our 16 years in the industry. Times are changing and we have adapted to include the many other services in our portfolio but the ship to site requirement is still going strong.
- We allow our clients to invoke for any reason.
- We allow our clients unlimited invocations.
- Our 5000+ inventory is stored in our 3 equipment vaults and is deployed from the most convenient location upon invocation.
- The equipment is delivered in custom-built Flight cases for ease of manoeuvre and space-related recovery.
- That equipment is dynamically syndicated across the country using our unique syndication software, ORAC.
- Syndication is never more than 15 but is on average around 6.
- Adam are multi platform providers of equipment.
- We find out as much as we can about each individual piece of equipment, including all peripherals to ensure that we always provide and (should be an) equivalent or greater spec.
- A guaranteed time to site is contracted to from the time the client calls to invoke.
- Our equipment is wholly owned by ourselves and is delivered in our own vehicles by our own delivery drivers.
- Mobile server rooms can be delivered to your site to recover your systems into.
- Every contract has a one week blocked rehearsal as standard – and we encourage every client to take that week, each year of their contract, to ensure that there are no problems when the time comes to invoke.
- Recovery Specialists are also a standard part of the contract. They provide ‘at elbow’ support, giving the client as much or as little help as they require both upon rehearsal and invocation.
- The recovery either takes place on client site, a site designated by the client or at one of Adam Continuity’s recovery centres.
- Equipment is delivered to the requested location by Adam Continuity’s own logistics team, the kit is setup and loaded with relevant OS. A disk subsystem and tape library are configured if applicable, backup software is loaded onto server, database is restored or catalogs are conducted against the media provided by the client.
- Once the backup server is functional the restore of servers commences and servers are all restored in full and checked to be working correctly.
- Once testing is complete all data is deleted from the servers.
- Invoked equipment can be bought if it is easier for the client after invocation.
- Each invocation can be up to 100 days.
- Rehearsal and Invocation reports also come as standard. They detail any issues that arise and how they are resolved and are fully comprehensive for all auditor requirements.
- Adam can help with planned events as well as unplanned Invocations.
- You may think that looking after your data and building makes you robust but more than half of invocations are for single server failures, or smaller invocations that you won’t want to relocate your business for. You may be able to retrieve your stored data very quickly but you will need replacement hardware to access that data. A ‘ship to site’ solution including Recovery Specialists from Adam Continuity should be fundamental in your planning to provide your organisation with a complete end to end recovery.
